As a Category Manager you are part of the Product Group Team for Social Beverages in the BeNeLux and together with Marketing and Sales you are responsible for the category and its brands (Pepsi, Pepsi Max, 7UP, Mountain Dew). You analyze the market results based on Nielsen, GFK and Canadean figures to understand the drivers and the barriers in the Social Beverages category. You translate the observations into insights and into concrete action plans related to the category vision, including introducing new products, building an optimal assortment per channel and key retailer and the translation and roll-out of a Category Promotional Calendar into the market. To introduce category and value share expanding initiatives at our retail partners and in the Out Of Home channel, you gain insights in the category, the channel and the shopper and you make recommendations to the Business Category Team and Sales Management. Furthermore, you also support the Category Development Manager in contributing to the Strategic Business Plan (SBP, 5 year outlook) and the Annual Commercial Plans (ACP, next year).
As a Category Manager you have an important role within PepsiCo and you work closely together with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Shopper Marketing, Shopper Insights & Business Analytics both in Belgium and in the Netherlands. This means you work in virtual teams. You report to the Category Development Manager Social Beverages and you are based in Zaventem, with occasional meetings in the Netherlands (near Utrecht).
* You have a master degree in Applied Economics, Commercial Sciences or Business Engineer; * You have at least 3 years of experience in category analytics or a similar function; * Experience as account manager retail is a valuable asset; * Languages : Dutch, French and English (proficiency in at least 1, willing to reach this level in the other languages); * FMCG knowledge: in-depth shopper insights and customer knowledge (retail) in an FMCG company is a must; * You show leadership to set the agenda, make projects and visions happen, you are able to run multifunctional projects and to demonstrate influential impact at various levels and functions in the organisation and with customers. Being well organized is a must. * You are a team player, communicative and a good listener: you understand the customer and you know how to influence him; * You have a can-do attitude and an optimistic mindset. You see opportunities and take initiatives.

Three branchesOur headquarters is located in Zaventem. The two plants are located in Veurne and Zeebrugge - production sites, which are important sources of several other European PepsiCo markets. A part of our product range in Belgium and Luxembourg are imported from neighboring European countries. Refresco and Haacht handle the production and bottling of our soft drinks for the wholesale distribution and the food service industry. PepsiCo employs nearly 900 people in Belgium.
